With a Brownie camera at age 10, I began capturing images. Black and white photos were developed and printed using a homemade enlarger that sat in a small room in our family basement designed to function as a bomb shelter, surrounded by concrete walls and ceiling with a light proof door. Later I was a college newspaper photographer covering on-campus news, again using a dark room in the basement of the architecture building , a building where I spent most of my life in those days.
Just as in architecture, which made the leap from analogue to digital (hand drafting to computer) I was happy to see the shift from film to digital cameras. For me, photography is capturing an image in time, space and light telling a story or transmitting an emotion or mood. But digital imaging provides so much more user control.
All of the photographs on this site are available for sale as a high res image suitable for print and framing. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your interest.
